Renault AG1 car appeared in 1907. Due to the strength and reliability of these cars in 1908–1914, they became the most popular Parisian taxi (more than 2,000 pieces). On September 5–6, 1914, 1300 Parisian Renault AG1s were used by the French army to transport 6,000 soldiers from Paris to the Battle of the Marne, where the French troops stopped the German offensive.
