USS Colorado (BB-45) is the first ship of the Colorado class battleship. The USS Colorado was built in 1919 at the New York shipyard and launched in 1921.
Then USS Colorado, mainly on training, participated in various fleet problem-solving exercises After the 1941 Japanese naval attack on Pearl Harbor, Colorado by Hawaii returned to America from repair, lucky. In 1942, USS Colorado returned to frontline combat and took part in the Gilbert and Marshall Islands, the Mariana Islands and Palau in the war and the battle of Leyte Gulf. After the end of the Colorado by kamikaze aircraft suicide attack, it was to be evacuated immediately and repaired; in 1945, the invasion of Lingayan Gulf, USS Colorado, had been friendly fire injured. After a refresher, USS Colorado participated in the battle of Okinawa, assisted the Allied forces after Japan's surrender in the occupation of the local, and then returned. USS Colorado in 1947 and retired in 1959, except for the book's dismantling.
