The Navy needed a way to effectively patrol the waterways of Vietnam, and the PBR31 Mk.II was the perfect solution. Fast and heavily armed, these boats provided stellar service in an inhospitable environment. Tamiya's 1/35 scale model kit is now back in limited edition form, complete with an electric submarine motor. The motor is attached to the special base on the bottom of the hull and enables the model to run on the water like the actual boat.
