The Y-5 is a multipurpose aircraft copied and developed by Hongdu Aviation Industry Group on the basis of the An-2 of the former Soviet Union. It can be used in transportation, ambulances, farming and forestry operations, mineral survey and exploration. It is 12.68 meters long, the upper wing span is 18.18 meters, and the lower wing span is 14.24 meters. The aircraft has a double-wing. The output is about 1000 pieces. The maiden voyage was in December 1957. In 1976, it finished the task of scattering Premier Zhou Enlai’s bone ash on the land, seas and rivers of our homeland.
