The Douglas A-26 Invader was the best WWII American twin-engine bomber. It had high flight data and carried powerful weapons. It was produced in 1942–1945. There were 1355 A-26B aircraft with a solid nose (6–8, 12,7 mm Browning MG) and 1091 A-26C aircraft with a glassed nose, which was the place of the bomber navigator.
In 1948–1966, the A-26 Invader had the designation B-26. This aircraft took part in the Korean War (1950–1953). They were used from the first to the last days of this war to attack the advanced positions of the enemy, railways and highways.
