The flagship of the Quest model rocket line! The Quest Astra is one of the most widely used model rocket kits offered and features Quest's TTW "Through-The-Wall" balsa fin design. TTW fin attachment makes building so much easier. It really helps you glue the rocket fins on straight and in the correct position. The Astra includes color coded parts to make identification for assembly easier. It uses a Kevlar shock cord that is anchored right to the engine mount for reliable recovery. These features give you the benefit of a more successful building experience. Perfect for schools, youth groups, Civil Air Patrol, 4H, and Scouting Space Exploration Merit Badge requirements.

Quest Skill Level 1 beginner modeler kits may require a little measuring, gluing, sanding and painting. Assembly usually takes 45 to 90 minutes. Drying time for glue and painting could take up to 3 hours.

This kit requires assembly. Hobby glues, finishing supplies, building tools, launch system and rocket motors for launching are not included.

Launch supplies sold separately. Requires Complete Launch System (Q7700), Quest Q-Jet rocket motors with FirstFire Micro Initiators and Recovery Wadding. One 9-volt, snap-top, Lithium battery is required for the Q2 Launch Controller - Not Included.

Also available in Value Packs of 12 (Q5484) and 25 (Q5584) rockets that are perfect for schools, camps, clubs and youth group programs including the Civil Air Patrol, 4H, Starbase and Scouting's Space Exploration Merit Badge requirements.

Recommended for ages 10 to adult. Direct adult supervision is suggested for those under 12 years of age when building or flying model rockets.
