The age of hot rodding began in the late '40s and early '50s with young soldiers returning from the war. They wanted excitement and sought it in fast cars. There were a lot of old Fords, and they were cheap. At first it was flatheads, but then came the small block Chevy and the hot rods were on the rise. Today, hot rods are no longer cheap. Instead, they're the work of skilled craftsmen, but they still have that original hot-rod spirit. As with this modern 32 Ford, the experienced manufacturers create works of art.
