Production of the MiG-15UTI, with the code name ”Midget” is the two-seat trainer variant (and limited conversion of single-seaters to this standard) of the MiG-15 ”bis” . The extra cockpit reduced internal fuel capacity, so additional external fuel tanks of various sizes were carried under the wings. Armaments were not traditionally carried as standard equipment, however, a single NR-23 23mm cannon or UBK-Ye 12.7-mm machine-gun can be fitted.

These contained 80 and 150 rounds of ammunition, respectively.
