This kit is a replica of the dominant Team Lotus "Black Beauty", the 1978 champion machine known for its overwhelming speed.

In addition to the smooth body lines, the kit's design is based on extensive research of the actual car, allowing for a level of detail that captures the structure of a ground-effect "wing car." This includes the internal monocoque, the V8 DFV engine, and the underbody shape that generates ground effect. The parts are structured to allow you to enjoy the building process while gaining a deeper understanding of the machine's inner workings.

The kit offers two types of headrest frames (for Andretti and Peterson) and two types of mirrors. The front wheels include both the 6-spoke and 4-spoke options. The decals are from Cartograf, ensuring vibrant colors with minimal bleed-through.

The assembly instructions include a commentary on the actual car by Shigetoku Ogura.

Decals (Markings):

  • 1978 German Grand Prix Winner: Car No. 5, driver Mario Andretti
  • Bonus: Car No. 6, driver Ronnie Peterson (Retired)
