About the Panther Ausf.G Last Production

The Panther Ausf.G was the final and most numerous variant of Germany's Pz.Kpfw.V Panther medium tank. The last production versions, manufactured from late 1944 through March 1945, incorporated numerous modifications based on combat experience. These included the simplified 'chin' mantlet to eliminate shot traps, improved engine cooling systems, and various cost-saving measures as German industry struggled under Allied bombing. Despite production challenges, the Panther remained one of the most feared tanks of World War II, combining excellent firepower, superior armor protection, and good mobility.
