About the FV215B (183)

The FV215B (183) was a British heavy tank destroyer project from the 1950s, designed to mount the massive 183mm L4 gun. This weapon was originally developed for the FV4005 and was capable of defeating any contemporary tank armor. Though the FV215B chassis project was eventually cancelled in favor of the Chieftain, the concept remains one of the most impressive examples of Cold War tank destroyer design.
