Historical Significance:

The Junkers Ju 87G-2 was a specialized tank-hunting variant of the famous Stuka dive bomber, developed to counter Soviet armor on the Eastern Front. Armed with two 37mm Bordkanone anti-tank cannons, the G-2 could penetrate tank armor from above and behind. Legendary Luftwaffe pilot Hans-Ulrich Rudel flew this variant with devastating effectiveness, claiming hundreds of Soviet tanks destroyed. The distinctive inverted gull wings and fixed landing gear made the Stuka instantly recognizable, while the 37mm cannons earned it the nickname "Kanonen Vogel" among German pilots.
