About the Piaggio Pegna PC7:
Built by Piaggio-Pegna in 1929, the P.c. 7 was a groundbreaking racing seaplane designed to compete in the prestigious Schneider Trophy races. Initial calculations showed that this hybrid aircraft could reach flight speeds of 600 km/h, an extraordinary achievement for the era. The innovative design featured unique hydrofoil technology and a revolutionary propulsion system. However, due to significant technical difficulties, Italian designers were unable to develop the aircraft to the required level in the late 1920s, and the P.c. 7 never flew in its final form, remaining one of aviation's most intriguing "what-if" designs.
This model kit is ideal for intermediate to advanced modelers interested in racing aircraft, Italian aviation history, and experimental seaplane designs. Display it alongside other racing aircraft or seaplane models from our collection.
