This very handy reference pictorial book is loaded with an 86 black and white photographs of the HJMS Nagato and the HJMS Mutsu Battleships. A record of movement for the Pacific war of each battleship is presented in chronological order. Included are many close up photos which were obtained from a USAAF officer stationed in Japan and the US National Archives in the Washington DC area, many have never been published before. The beautiful cover painting is from Steve Wiper's good friend and naval artist Tom Freeman.
