About the L-1011 TriStar

Lockheed produced the L-1011 TriStar from 1968 to 1984. Its distinctive trijet configuration placed one engine beneath each wing and a third at the tail. Delta operated 70 TriStars and used them on domestic, transatlantic, and transpacific routes before retiring the aircraft in 2001.
