Application notes

For airbrushing, thin with Tamiya X-20A Acrylic Thinner or another compatible Tamiya thinner. Tamiya Lacquer Thinner can produce faster drying and a harder finish.

Brush painting

For smoother brush results, use Tamiya Paint Retarder item 87114. Before curing, the paint can be washed away with plain water.

Color and finish

Tamiya X colors have a gloss finish, while XF colors have a flat finish. X-10 Gun Metal is an X-designated gloss color. Tamiya X-21 Flat Base can flatten gloss bottle paints when mixed as directed by the manufacturer.
