Mr. Hobby Mr. Crystal Tourmaline Green XC06 is an 18ml solvent-based acrylic pearl paint for adding a subtle, iridescent shimmer to scale models, figures, and other painted surfaces. Its appearance changes with the base color and it can be applied by brush or airbrush after thinning with a compatible Mr. Color thinner.

Finish and Application

  • Creates an iridescent, pearl-like shimmer visible from different viewing angles.
  • A white base produces a shimmery pearl effect, while a black base gives the surface a more metallic appearance.
  • Suitable for car models, character models, figures, and other hobby projects.
  • Apply one to two coats by brush or two to three coats by airbrush after the base color has dried.
  • Allow each coat to dry for a few hours before applying the next coat.
  • Apply clear paint when additional gloss is needed.

Thinning and Compatibility

  • Brush painting ratio: 1:0.8–1.0 Mr. Crystal Color to Mr. Color Thinner.
  • Airbrushing ratio: 1:1–2 Mr. Crystal Color to Mr. Color Thinner.
  • Use Mr. Color Thinner, Mr. Color Leveling Thinner, or Mr. Color Rapid Thinner.
  • Do not thin with Thinner for Aqueous Hobby Color or ACRYSION Solvent.
  • Can be mixed with Mr. Color, Mr. Color GX, and other Mr. Hobby paint lines.
