Bachmann HO Scale 4-6-4 J3a Hudson - New York Central #5432 (Gothic Lettering)

Experience the golden age of American railroading with the Bachmann HO Scale 4-6-4 J3a Hudson steam locomotive. This detailed model recreates the iconic New York Central Railroad engine that powered the legendary 20th Century Limited and other express services along the Water Level Route. Featuring authentic Gothic-style lettering and road number 5432, this locomotive brings history to life on your layout.

Historical Background

As demand for rail travel surged in the 1920s, the New York Central needed faster, more powerful locomotives for its premier express services. The American Locomotive Company (ALCO) delivered the solution in 1927 with the 4-6-4 Hudson, named after the Hudson River it ran alongside. This wheel arrangement quickly became synonymous with both the New York Central and luxury high-speed rail travel across America.
