Application Tips for Ship Models

Model Shipways acrylic paints can be applied directly from the bottle for brush painting or thinned slightly with water for smoother flow. Use soft brushes for large areas and fine detail brushes for trim work and pinstriping. Apply thin coats and allow each layer to dry before adding additional coats for best coverage. The paints work beautifully on bare wood, primed surfaces, and previously painted areas. Clean brushes with water immediately after use. For best results on wooden ship models, seal bare wood with thinned paint or wood sealer before applying final coats.
