Historical notes
The AN-Mk 1 was developed to penetrate heavily armored naval vessels, reinforced concrete, and other strongly protected targets. Its design includes a forged, machined body, a pointed nose, parallel sides, slight boat tailing, suspension fittings, and a box-type tail assembly.
The AN-Mk 1, Mk 1 Mod 1, Mk 1 Mod 2, and Mk 1 Mod 3 designations refer to documented production variations; the current product information describes the physical components as the same across those variants.
Finishing guidance
- Remove the 3D supports carefully, then lightly sand or prime any horizontal striations from the printing process.
- Prime with acrylic, lacquer, or enamel paint as appropriate for your project. Paints, primer, and adhesive are not listed as included components.
- Use CA adhesive for attaching the part to a model or filling small imperfections, and test-fit it to the aircraft bomb bay or external racks before final finishing.
- Fine details may be brittle, so this accessory is intended for experienced modelers rather than small children.
