    Technical Notes

The M-60 was a specialized weapon intended to penetrate armored naval craft, reinforced concrete, and heavy steel construction. The bomb body was based on converted seacoast artillery shells with a single-piece steel-forged case. References identify M102 or AN-M102 fuzes, including A1 and A2 modifications.

    Compatible Subjects

This set is intended for 1/48 scale WWII aircraft projects, including heavy bombers and aircraft configured for anti-shipping missions. Compatibility should be checked against the specific kit and loadout being modeled.

    3D Printing and Finishing

    3D Printing Information

Supports should be removed carefully, starting at the tip and working toward the larger attachment points. Small details can be delicate, so use controlled pressure and inspect the part after support removal. Horizontal striations may be lightly sanded or covered with a suitable primer. Support configurations may vary from the images.

    Modeling Tips

Test-fit the bombs in the aircraft's bomb bay or on its external racks before final assembly. A primer suitable for resin can be followed by acrylic, lacquer, or enamel paint. CA adhesive may be useful for attaching the part to a model or filling small imperfections. Historical references can help with olive drab finishes and period-appropriate yellow or white markings.
