Historical Notes
The M52 was a converted 12-inch mortar shell modified with a tail-base plug, M110 adapter booster, and box-type fin assembly. Suspension bands with double-lug attachment allowed carriage on dive bombers. The M52A1 variant featured an upgraded tetryl booster charge.
