Heller HMS Victory 1:100 Scale Starter Kit – Admiral Nelson's Flagship
Build a stunning replica of Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson's legendary flagship with the Heller HMS Victory 1:100 Scale Starter Kit. This advanced plastic model kit recreates the iconic three-decker vessel that played a pivotal role in the Battle of Trafalgar on October 21, 1805.
Historical Significance
The HMS Victory is the Royal Navy's fifth vessel to bear this distinguished name. Officially christened on October 28, 1760, she was launched on May 8, 1778, as Admiral Lord Keppel's flagship during the battle against the French fleet near the Brittany coast. By April 1803, the Victory underwent significant modifications—most of her golden ornamentation was removed or altered, giving her the appearance admired today.
In 1825, HMS Victory became the Chief Admiral Headquarters in Portsmouth, an honor she held until 1869 and regained in 1901. Since 1921, following a preservation campaign led by the Nautical Research Society under Lord Milford Haven, the Victory has rested in Portsmouth Dock No. 2, the world's oldest dry dock, where she remains in remarkable condition.
