Tamiya PS-49 Sky Blue Anodized Aluminum is a polycarbonate spray paint for modelers finishing transparent R/C car bodies from the inside. It creates a metallic anodized-aluminum effect and is formulated for bodies used with electric or gas-powered R/C vehicles.

Product Details

  • Material: Polycarbonate spray paint.
  • Color: Sky blue with an anodized-aluminum metallic effect.
  • Scale: Suitable for R/C car body projects and not limited to one scale.
  • Compatibility: Transparent polycarbonate R/C car bodies. Do not use on traditional plastic model kits.
  • Contents: One 100ml spray can, enough for approximately one complete model body.
  • Important detail: The paint resists oil and fuel after curing, making it suitable for gas-powered R/C bodies.

Application

Painting polycarbonate bodies

Spray the inside of the clean body shell while holding the can about 30 cm from the surface. Let each coat cure before adding another coat as needed. Applying the paint from the inside leaves the finish protected during use.

Metallic finish

The anodized-aluminum effect is most visible outdoors when sunlight reflects across the painted surface.
