Woodland Scenics ST1411 is a high-density foam track accessory for model railroaders building smooth 4% inclines or declines in N and HO scale layouts.

Incline/Decline Set Details

  • Material: High-density foam
  • Grade: 4% incline or decline
  • Contents: Four foam sections, each measuring 2 1/2 inches wide by 24 inches long (6.35 x 60.9 cm)
  • Layout run: Raises or lowers track approximately 4 inches (10.1 cm) over an 8-foot (2.43 m) run
  • Scale compatibility: N and HO scale track layouts
  • Important detail: One set creates either an incline or a decline, not both. Two sets are needed to create both on the same layout.

Installation and Layout Planning

Use the foam sections to change track elevation quickly and create a gradual transition. Depending on the grade and layout design, an incline can begin at 0 inches and reach up to 4 1/2 inches (11.4 cm), while a decline can descend from up to 4 1/2 inches to 0 inches. Pin the sections in place with Foam Nails and attach them with Foam Tack Glue or a Low Temp Foam Glue Gun and Glue Sticks.
