Application and Thinning

Brush Painting

Apply the paint in controlled coats for an even finish. Tamiya Paint Retarder 87114 can help produce smoother brushwork and reduce visible brush marks. Before the paint cures, it can be removed with plain water.

Airbrushing

Thin with Tamiya X-20A Acrylic Thinner for standard acrylic airbrushing. Tamiya Lacquer Thinner can also be used for faster drying and a harder finish. Compatible Tamiya thinner options include 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, and 87077.
