Mini XF-65 Tamiya Acrylic Field Gray is a flat acrylic paint for hobbyists finishing scale military models. Use it with a brush or airbrush on common model surfaces for smooth, even coverage.

Using the paint

The paint can be brushed directly or thinned for airbrushing. Before curing, it can be washed away with plain water.

Thinning options

  • Use Tamiya X-20A Acrylic thinner for airbrushing.
  • Tamiya Lacquer Thinner can provide faster drying and a harder finish. Compatible thinner numbers include 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, and 87077.
  • For smoother brushwork, use Tamiya Paint Retarder 87114.
