This kit is a replica of the elf-liveried NSR500 that came into being in 1989. The move followed the conclusion of the long-running Elf project, which, led by Serge Rosset, had always featured its own unique machines. Elf instead decided to sponsor Dominique Sarron's team.

The kit includes plastic parts for the PVM wheels, which have a unique diamond-shaped cross-section on their spokes. The decals are high-quality, vibrant Cartograf decals.
