About the M113 Zelda

The M113 Zelda is the Israeli Defense Forces' designation for their modified M113 armored personnel carriers, named after the Hebrew acronym for "armored infantry carrier." Israel received M113s beginning in the 1960s and extensively modified them based on combat experience in the Six-Day War, Yom Kippur War, and subsequent conflicts.
