About the Tiger(P) "Truppenübungsfahrzeug"

After the Henschel Tiger design was selected for production over Porsche's competing proposal, some of the completed Tiger(P) hulls were converted into training vehicles (Truppenübungsfahrzeug). These vehicles were used to train German tank crews in the operation and maintenance of heavy tanks. This conversion represents an interesting chapter in the Tiger(P) story, showing how the rejected design still served a valuable purpose in the German armored forces.
