This unassembled 1/35 plastic model kit depicts the U.S. M40 self-propelled 155mm gun. It requires assembly and is intended for modelers building a detailed World War II or Korean War American armor subject.

About the Model

The M40 paired the M1 155mm gun with the proven M4 Sherman chassis. Tamiya’s tooling captures the open rear fighting compartment, horizontal volute spring suspension, and the practical details that define this large American self-propelled gun. The suspension parts are shared with Tamiya’s M4A3E8 Sherman “Easy Eight” model kit.
