About USS CV-2 Lexington
The USS Lexington (CV-2) was one of America's first fleet aircraft carriers, converted from a battlecruiser hull in the 1920s. She served heroically in the early Pacific campaigns of World War II, including the raids on Lae and Salamaua and the Battle of the Coral Sea. On May 8, 1942, during the Battle of the Coral Sea, Lexington was fatally damaged and had to be scuttled. This wood deck allows you to honor "Lady Lex" with a build that captures her authentic appearance during her final months of service.
