About the Horch Type 1A

The Horch 1a was developed under the pre-WWII Einheits Program, which aimed to streamline vehicle production. The soft-top vehicle could carry eight crew members and used a V8 engine producing 80 horsepower. It had a range of 400 km and an oversized radiator for demanding conditions such as North Africa. Its 120-liter fuel tank was split around the propeller shaft, and approximately 2,900 vehicles were produced from 1937 to 1940.
