About the M10 Tank Destroyer

America's first tank destroyer, the M10 used a Sherman hull with an open-topped turret carrying a 3-inch (76.2mm) cannon. Its relatively thin armor supported high mobility, while auxiliary armor could be added using bolts on the turret and hull. The M10 saw combat in Tunisia in 1943 before serving in Italy, Western Europe, and the Pacific.
