The name of the initial 43 type 8.8 cm anti-tank gun mounted on Type 2 assault guns (Sturmgeschutz mit 8.8 cm Pak43 / 2) and Tiger (P) tanks expulsion car (Panzerjager Tiger (P)) [4]. After a meeting in 1943, he was officially named Ferdinand (Ferdinand) [5], and on February 27, 1944, at Hitler's suggestion, he was renamed Elefant (Elefant).
