About the F-107A Ultra Sabre

The North American F-107A began as a tactical fighter-bomber development of the F-100. The first prototype flew in 1956, and the aircraft reached Mach 2 during testing. Three prototypes were built, but the F-107A did not enter production after the Republic F-105 was selected for Tactical Air Command.
