Vallejo Premium Satin Varnish is a 60 ml acrylic-polyurethane varnish for airbrushing and durable finishes on RC and other hard-wearing surfaces. It is suited to modelers who need a resilient satin protective coat.

Product details

  • Material: Acrylic color with a hybrid acrylic-polyurethane resin.
  • Finish: Satin varnish.
  • Size: 60 ml (2.02 fl oz).
  • Contents: One 60 ml flip-top bottle.
  • Application: Airbrush at approximately 15–20 PSI (0.5–1 kg).

Uses and compatibility

Premium Satin Varnish is formulated for surfaces such as fiberglass, polyethylene, polycarbonate, metal, and Lexan. It is recommended for motorcycle helmets, fuel tanks, surfboards, RC applications, and similar surfaces exposed to impact, cracking, heat, and fuel residue.

For best results, apply successive layers over a previously primed surface. Vallejo states that Premium colors resist fuel residue used in RC applications up to at least 35% Nitro. Painting tools can be cleaned with water.

Safety and finishing

Premium Color is described as non-flammable and solvent-free. For especially resistant protection, a final 2K urethane varnish can be applied by aerosol or airbrush. Review the Vallejo Premium safety sheet before use.
