Vallejo Model Air Sand is a water-based acrylic paint for airbrushing and brush application on military aircraft, vehicles, figures, and other scale models. Its carefully researched color helps modelers reproduce historically informed military finishes.

Product Details

  • Material: Water-based acrylic paint.
  • Scale: Not applicable; formulated for scale models.
  • Compatibility: Suitable for primed military aircraft, vehicles, figures, and other hobby subjects.
  • Contents: One 17 ml (0.57 fl oz) eyedropper bottle.
  • Application: Use directly with an airbrush or apply with a brush. Thin with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver when needed.
  • Important details: Apply several thin layers for an even paint film. Recommended airbrush pressure is 15–20 PSI (0.5–1 kg).

Application and Care

Prime the surface before painting, then build coverage in thin layers to preserve fine model detail. Clean the airbrush with Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner after use. The paint is nonflammable and contains no solvents.
