Mr. Color C181 Semi-Gloss Super Clear is a lacquer clear coat for scale model finishing. Use it over compatible Mr. Color paint to protect the finish and create a consistent semi-gloss sheen on aircraft, vehicle, and other plastic model projects.

Use and Compatibility

Brushing and airbrushing

  • Brush painting: Mix one part paint with 0.8 to 1 part Mr. Color thinner.
  • Airbrushing: Mix one part paint with 1 to 2 parts Mr. Color thinner.

Use Mr. Color Thinner, Mr. Color Leveling Thinner, or Mr. Color Rapid Thinner for dilution. Do not thin this paint with Aqueous Hobby Color Thinner or ACRYSION Solvent.

Aqueous Hobby Color and ACRYSION can be applied over a coat of Mr. Color. Mr. Color should not be applied over Aqueous Hobby Color or ACRYSION.

Paint compatibility

Do not mix this product with Aqueous Hobby Color, ACRYSION, ACRYSION Base Colors, Classy 'N Dressy Colors, or Mr. Metal Color.
