These Kadee #516 Vulcan double truss trucks add metal, fully sprung equalized detail to HO scale railcars. The ready-to-mount Whisker® couplers suit modelers building steam-era freight and logging equipment.

Historical context

Introduced in the 1920s, the Vulcan truck replaced the arch bar truck and remained in mainline use through the end of the steam era. Logging railroads used the design somewhat longer. A pin holds the journal box in place, allowing quick replacement when removed.
