The O Motrak Models The Clam Box 43011 is a premium laser-cut wood craftsman kit designed for O Scale (1:48) model railroad layouts. This historically accurate kit replicates the iconic Clam Box restaurant located on Route 133 in Ipswich, Massachusetts, specifically modeling the original building design before a later dining room addition was constructed.

Historical Background

The Clam Box has been serving some of the best seafood in New England since 1935. Built by Dick Greenleaf, this unique structure and its legendary food have been featured in numerous magazines and television shows, including Yankee, Gourmet, US Airways, The Food Network, and WCVB Channel 5's Chronicle. The Greenleafs sold the business in 1962, and the next owner added a one-story dining room around the original box-shaped building. This kit faithfully reproduces the original structure prior to that addition, capturing the distinctive architectural charm that has made it a New England landmark.
