O Motrak Models Weeks Mills Freight House 43004 - O Scale Craftsman Structure Kit

The O Motrak Models Weeks Mills Freight House 43004 is a premium craftsman structure kit designed for O Scale (1:48) and On30 model railroad layouts. This historically accurate kit represents the freight house from the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington (WW&F) Railroad, specifically modeled after the structure located at milepost 28.2 in Weeks Mills, Maine.

Historical Background

The Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railroad was incorporated in 1854 but never built until 1894. It was a small two-foot gauge railroad built to transport grain from the fields and lumber from the hills to Wiscasset, where it could then be shipped to other parts of the country via ships or connections with the Maine Central Railroad. The line never actually reached Waterville or Farmington, Maine—its final terminus was at Albion, Maine. The WW&F operated until June 15, 1933, leaving behind a rich legacy of narrow-gauge railroading history.

Kit Features

  • High-quality laser-cut wood for precise fitting and easy assembly
  • Double-wall construction eliminates the need for internal bracing
  • Mold-injected windows for realistic detail
  • Laser-cut shake shingles for authentic texture
  • Laser-cut sub-floor designed for accurate placement of support posts
  • Battens must be glued on individually to achieve prototype-accurate appearance
  • Simple step-by-step instructions included
  • Proudly made in the USA
