How to Use

1. Prepare a base coat when needed. A black or dark base can deepen the metallic appearance.
2. Apply a thin, even layer with a brush. A large, flat brush is recommended for broad surfaces.
3. Allow the paint to dry for at least five minutes.
4. Gently polish the dry surface with a soft cloth. The amount of polishing changes the sheen, with less polishing producing a more subdued finish and additional gentle polishing creating a brighter, burnished effect.

Finish Control and Care

• Mr. Metal Color can be applied without thinning according to the product information.
• Do not polish for too long, because the paint film may lift.
• Polishing can create surface scratches, so use light pressure.
• Apply a compatible topcoat when you want to help protect the finish from oxidation.
• Do not apply Mr. SUPER CLEAR directly over Mr. Metal Color, because it can dissolve the paint film.

Compatibility

Recommended base paints include Mr. COLOR and Mr. SURFACER. AQUEOUS HOBBY COLOR may also be used as a base according to the product guidance. Follow the paint maker's instructions for layering and compatibility when combining products from different paint systems.
