Tamiya Dark Earth Texture Paint

Tamiya Diorama Texture Paint in Dark Earth helps modelers create realistic soil, ground, and terrain surfaces. Its paste-like texture is intended for dioramas, military vehicles, tanks, and other scale-model projects.

Product Details

  • Material: Water-based texture paint with fine particles for a natural ground effect.
  • Scale: Not scale-specific; suitable for 1/35 scale and other diorama scales.
  • Compatibility: Dioramas, terrain bases, tanks, military vehicles, and other scale models.
  • Contents: One 100 ml bottle of Dark Earth texture paint, item 87109.
  • Coverage: Approximately 250 x 353 mm, or 9.8 x 13.9 inches, with one coat.

Application Notes

Working with the texture

  • Apply with a spatula or an old paintbrush. New brush bristles may be damaged by the textured paint.
  • Thin with water if the consistency is too thick.
  • After applying a thick layer, shape the surface before it dries completely.
  • Allow approximately 4 to 5 hours for drying.
  • Do not use in an airbrush.
  • After the texture dries, use enamel paint for washing and dry-brush effects.
