Application Instructions

This metallic gold paint is designed to simulate metallic gold surfaces used on automotive wheels and similar applications.

Important Application Requirements:

  • For best results, use TS-14 Black as an undercoat applied directly to the plastic model and not on a primer surface
  • If TS-84 is applied directly to a plastic surface, the finish may not be smooth and paint may lift when masking tapes are removed
  • Do not apply a clear coat over this paint
  • Take care when applying masks to avoid damaging the painted surface

Apply in thin, even coats from approximately 8-12 inches away. Allow proper drying time between coats for best results.

Important Notes

NOTE: Tamiya TS paint is not designed to be used with clear Polycarbonate/LEXAN R/C body shells. The paint will flake off. For Polycarbonate applications, use Tamiya PS spray paint.
