Tamiya PS-31 Smoke is a 100ml aerosol spray paint formulated for transparent polycarbonate R/C car bodies. It is used to create a smoked window tint effect on Lexan-style shells.

How to Use

Spraying Technique

Polycarbonate bodies are painted from the inside of the shell rather than the outside. Hold the can about 30cm from the surface and apply light coats, allowing each to cure before adding another.

Smoke Tint Tips

Always apply PS-31 Smoke in very light mist coats. Heavy coats can cause the paint to run. For a darker tint, build up additional light mist coats only after previous coats are completely dry. Do not spray this color over non-Tamiya paints; test on a scrap piece of polycarbonate first.

Important Notes

Never use polycarbonate spray paints on standard styrene plastic models.
