Use and thinning

Brush and airbrush application

The paint covers well, flows smoothly, and can be blended easily. For airbrushing, thin it with Tamiya X-20A Acrylic Thinner or Tamiya Lacquer Thinner. Lacquer thinner produces faster drying and a harder finish. For smoother brushwork, use Tamiya Paint Retarder 87114.

Recommended Tamiya thinners

Compatible Tamiya thinner references include 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, and 87077. Before curing, the paint can be washed away with plain water.
