Application and thinning

Brush painting

For smoother brushwork, use Tamiya Paint Retarder (87114) to help produce an even finish with fewer visible brush marks.

Airbrushing

Thin with Tamiya X-20A Acrylic Thinner. Tamiya Lacquer Thinner can also be used for faster drying and a harder finish. Compatible Tamiya thinners include 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520, and 87077.
