Application and Thinning

Brush Painting

Apply to a clean model surface and allow the paint to cure between coats. Tamiya Paint Retarder can help produce smoother brush coverage.

Airbrushing

Thin with Tamiya X-20A Acrylic Thinner, or use Tamiya Lacquer Thinner for faster drying and a harder finish.

Finish and Cleanup

Tamiya X colors have a gloss finish, while XF colors are flat. Before curing, this water-soluble paint cleans up with plain water. Test paint and thinner combinations on a spare surface before applying them to a finished model.
