Application and Thinning

Brush Painting

Thin the paint as needed for the surface and your brush technique. Tamiya Paint Retarder can help produce smoother brush-painted results. Before the paint cures, it can be removed with plain water.

Airbrushing

Thin with Tamiya X-20A Acrylic Thinner, or use Tamiya Lacquer Thinner for faster drying and a harder finish. Adjust the mixture for your equipment and desired coverage.
